My stay at this ryokan was worth every penny. The room was cozy and beautifully decorated, and the location was ideal, just a short walk from Uno Port. The staff at the ryokan were extremely friendly and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable.
The morning meal could have been better with a wider variety of options.

Decorated with unique art works, this accommodation is a great base for exploring art spots in the Seto Inland Sea. Plus, towels and toothbrushes are provided. How convenient!
Oh, just loved sitting in my room all the time with no living area to chill out. Such a relaxing experience, really.

The guest rooms at Kikusui Ryokan are like a journey of art that surrounds you from the moment you wake up to when you fall asleep. As a disabled guest, I truly appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and the thoughtfulness behind every detail.
Personally, I found the seating area in certain rooms a bit cramped, but others may still enjoy it.

I had a fantastic stay at this ryokan! The location was excellent, as it was just a short walk to both the train station and the ferry to Naoshima. The staff were very friendly and gave me great advice on where to eat at a reasonable price. The beds were extremely comfortable, providing me with a great night's sleep. The hotel also had all the necessary facilities and was very clean. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

My stay at Kikusui Ryokan was a pleasant surprise. The room had an artistic design that gave it a Naoshima vibe, and the hand-drawn map provided by the owner was a thoughtful touch. The real bed was a welcome change from the typical futon, and the communication with the owner before my arrival was excellent. The location in the Uno Port area was also convenient, just a short walk from the port and Uno Station.
I must mention that the noise cancellation in the building was not great. My room was on the first floor facing the main road, so traffic noises were quite loud.

The staff member was super friendly and welcoming, it made me feel right at home! The on-site laundry was a total game-changer - no need to worry about dirty clothes after exploring all day. And let me tell you, the bathroom was jaw-droppingly spacious! Plus, the location was perfect - just a short walk to the train station and ferry terminal to Naoshima. No meals provided, but that was actually a nice change - I loved being able to grab some snacks from the nearby Family store. The room itself was amazing, with unique art and tiny sculptural surprises. And a bonus point for checking us in early so we could start our Naoshima adventure right away. this place was mind-blowingly awesome!

I recently stayed at Kikusui Ryokan for a few nights with my family. The hotel upgraded us to a room with a private bathroom, which was a pleasant surprise. The artistic design of the place, especially our cute Japanese-style tatami room, was both comfortable and chic. The attention to detail, like providing us with Japanese-style pjs, added a nice touch. The ryokan's proximity to the ferry terminal made it convenient for exploring the nearby islands, and it was also within walking distance to the onsen and train station. The staff, especially the helpful girl who worked in the evening, went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. a great experience!
I highly recommend this hotel.
